![]() The TACOMA ALUMNI Chapter was chartered in July of 1985 and the BELLEVUE ALUMNI Chapter was soon to follow in February of 1987. In January of 1980 KAPPA PI Chapter was chartered at Washington State University. In his memory, the house is now named the William “Czar” Meredith Memorial Kappa House.įrom its birth in Seattle, Kappa Alpha Psi has continued to spread in the State of Washington. He willed his home, located at 516 – 22 nd Avenue East, to the Fraternity. In February of 1968, Kappa Alpha Psi suffered a great loss in the death of its beloved Brother William “Czar” Meredith.On March 7, 1963, the Seattle Chapter acquired Incorporated status from the State of Washington (This process was repeated on April 29, 1980.).February 13, 1954, marked the establishment of the Seattle Alumni Chapter.īrother Ira Jones was the first Polemarch.Since the fraternitys founding on January 5, 1911, at Indiana. In September of 1948, a proud and enthusiastic contingent of Seattle Kappa men traveled to Oakland, California to attend the first Western Province Council Meeting.
